How Accessible were the Polls Really in 2022?

dLCV is mandated by the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (PL 107-252) to advocate for the rights of Virginia voters with disabilities. Through dLCV’s Protection and Advocacy for Voter Access (PAVA) program, we survey polling sites on Election Day to determine if sites are accessible and take corrective action if sites are not accessible.

Our View of the Legislature: Voting

The General Assembly is now in its final week. The legislature is scheduled to end its session a week from today, March 1, 2021.  Committees must conclude their work early this week in order for any remaining bills to make their way through the rest of the process.  Significant bills expanding voting protections for people with disabilities are nearing final days of work.
